This is good news for those who use Gmail. Google is going to increase the size of Gmail attachments.
Currently, the system is capable of holding up to 25 megabytes of data per e-mail. More than that, it is saved in Google Drive and then delivered to the recipients.
But from now on the size of the attachment has been doubled. That means the size of incoming Gmail attachments has been increased from 25MB to 50MB! By doing this, the customers will get a lot of benefits.
The company said in a blog post that attachment is a very important issue in e-mail exchanges. Although Google Drive offers an opportunity to share files of any size, in some cases users need to receive files directly. So this new facility will come in handy to the customers.
